NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
TO VACATE A PUBLIC STREET
TO: ALL
INTERESTED
PERSONS


On this date, September 5, 2009, Owen Industrial Products doing business as CMC Recycling  being hereinafter referred to as Petitioner, have petitioned the Mayor and  City Council of the City of Alexander City, Alabama, requesting the following described public street be vacated:

From the intersection of the centerlines of Radio Road and Emerson Road, proceed northward along the centerline of Emerson Road about 320 feet to a Point of Beginning. The property proposed for vacation is a forty foot wide track of land, the centerline of which starts at the Point of Beginning and extends generally northward along the center of the unimproved road, a distance of about 940 feet, to the Ending Point, and encompassing an area of approximately 0.86 acres. The property is in Section 29 of Township 23 North, Range 21 East.

The City Council of the City of Alexander City, Alabama, will hold a PUBLIC HEARING at its regularly scheduled meeting to discuss the proposed vacation of the above described street.  Said meeting will be at 5:00 p m , Monday, December 7, 2009, in the Courtroom of the Judicial Building ( old City Hall building) at 1 Court Square.  Any citizen alleging to be affected by the proposed vacation may submit a written objection to the City Council or may request an opportunity to be heard at the PUBLIC HEARING.
