ADMINISTRATIVE CLERK
PowerSouth Energy Cooperative has an opening for an Administrative Clerk in the Finance and Accounting Department at the Headquarters Office located in Andalusia, Alabama. This position is responsible for handling clerical tasks related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll for the PowerSouth organization, as well as providing clerical support to the Finance and Accounting Department. Applicants must have three (3) years of clerical experience and working knowledge of computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheet applications, Power Point, etc. Ability to successfully complete all of the following: speed typing test with at least 40 WPM, a placement exercise, and a structured interview.
Employment is subject to a negative drug test, background check and completion of a comprehensive application for employment. PowerSouth offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits program.

PLANT TECHNICIAN (3 positions)
PowerSouth Energy Cooperative is seeking three (3) Plant Technicians for the Central Generation Department in the Power Supply Division near Andalusia, Alabama. These positions are responsible for performing basic preventive maintenance and assisting in minor corrective maintenance; reading, recording, and interpreting plant instrumentation and operating flood control equipment and performing routine inspection of the Central Generation facilities. Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants must be able to qualify on a Pre-employment Placement Exercise and a behaviorally based structured interview. Applicants must be able to demonstrate their ability to perform all the duties of the classification. Incumbents will be required to successfully participate in the plant training curriculum which includes a minimum of two (2) years time in grade, plus passing grades on all course work and skills demonstrations. Working conditions include working twelve (12) hour rotating shifts. Employment is subject to a negative drug test, background check and completion of a comprehensive application for employment. Principal Engineer (Electrical)
PowerSouth Energy Cooperative, an electric generation and transmission cooperative
serving Alabama and Northwest Florida, is seeking a Principal Engineer (Electrical)
for the Central Generation Plants near Andalusia, Alabama and will require relocation.
This position requires a degree in Electrical Engineering and eight or more years of
documented work experience in the application of the specific discipline, preferably
in the area of power generation or closely related area. Professional registration may
be considered as one year of experience. Work experience should include project
management, independent assignments, and documented supervision skills. This position
provides engineering expertise, supervision and general oversight of project activities
in generation, transmission, distribution or any other functional area that requires
experienced application of specific engineering principles. This position may function
as project manager, team leader, group supervisor and/or general superintendent. The
primary responsibilities will be in the area of power generation. PowerSouth Energy
